So, we got back from Dorset, and as soon as we’d sorted ourselves out, we were almost straight into helping my Mum move house. With a quick break in between the old & new places, Boo and I headed up to the incredibly stunning Harptree Court (you may well recognise the grounds from series 3 & 4 of GBBO!)
We were given such a warm welcome by the owners Linda & Charles (plus a slice of the infamously good cake & the most incredible homemade feast for lunch!) They tag teamed our tour of the house & grounds (and it’s hidden gems) with humour & grace befitting the eclectic elegance of this grand Georgian family home and B&B, and I’ve no doubt a stay with them would be a lot of fun!
The gardens, grounds, & interiors were breathtakingly beautiful. Reminiscent at times of wild Bronte-esque landscapes. But we were really there by way of introduction to the Canopy & Stars Collection – a sampling of the quirky, unusual & unique places C&S seek & try out to ensure they can offer the most magical places for glamping style getaways with a difference.
And what better place to get initially acquainted with a taste of their collection than by discovering Harptree Courts’ very own treehouse & yurt! Both completely individual, and so carefully thought out in every aspect, from design & decor, to the little details & thoughtful additions for comfort & relaxation, offering not just a getaway, but an experience. That’s the kind of stuff we like…you had me at hello!
Whether you’re a seasoned foodie or a wild woodfire cook, an adventure seeker or luxury retreat indulger, a coastal sea dog or lakeside land lover; Canopy & Stars reckon they’ve got a place just perfect for you. We’re so excited to have been asked to be part of their Collective and to help them showcase what they have to offer. We’ll be off on our own adventure soon, but in the meantime, why not take the What’s in Your Bag challenge to discover just what kind of escapist you might be…
I’d say ours was bang on with Wild Adventurer, how about yours? x
