Love this girl & all her spirit!

Life with kids is like this though, huh? An absolute roller coaster of deep dips one minute to screaming highs of sheer joy & pure pleasure the next. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

One of our favourite experiences of last year, was Just So Festival; and we’re utterly delighted to have been invited back for the adventures that await at Just So Festival 2015!

An annual, intimate, weekend-long camping festival for children and their families, the Just So Festival provides an imaginative outdoor adventure like no other. Embedded and entwined in a wondrous landscape of woodland clearings, rolling parkland, arboreal amphitheatres and lakeside spots in the Rode Hall Estate, Cheshire, the festival showcases the best music, literature, comedy and theatre for families, & celebrates magical connections through art, imagination and the wild outdoors.

Rowan Hoban and Sarah Bird, Directors of Wild Rumpus (who produce large scale family arts events in wild natural landscapes) set up Just So Festival in 2009 to create a spellbinding weekend where families could play, dance and create together and see world class breathtaking outdoor arts.

At Just So 2015, audience members will be journeying through the most magical, awe-inspiring landscape for three nights. They must watch carefully the whole journey…as Roald Dahl once said, “the best adventures and greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places”.” – Rowan

“We immerse families into a world of imagination, letting their creativity run wild. We believe in the power of a wonderful moment to change the way that a family engages in the arts together. If we don’t give you goosebumps we are not doing it right.” – Sarah

I’ve not had much chance to plan yet, but one re-emerging topic since last year, has been our tribal choice. It was finally settled upon Owls, which I’m pretty darn chuffed about – despite being part of the champion foxy tribe last year, there’s little loyalty from me I’m afraid – not when it means I get the chance to play with feathers & face paints!

And play we did. Such a wonderful afternoon together, momentary grump included. The perfect way to prepare ourselves for pillow fights, fairy balls, sea shanties, circus antics, mermaids, outdoor film, dancing under the moon, bonfire tales, and sleeping under the stars. All set under this year’s theme of the golden age of travel – intriguing adventures abound indeed!
